Penelope on a DeLorean

Description

Is that a f*cking DeLorean?!? Yes, yes it is!

I listened to a lot of 80's music while drawing this to make it feel a bit more authentic.

So yeah, this picture marks Penelope's triumphant return! I hadn't drawn her in so long, it really felt like a crime! So here she is, bikini clad and sitting on the most EPIC car ever built! I don't see anyone building a time machine out of a PT Cruiser or a Camaro. Take that!

If you listen to "The Warrior" by Scandal or "You Spin Me 'Round (Like a Record)" by Dead or Alive while looking at this, it just adds to it!

Done completely in Sai except for the ultra-lazy gradient BG which was made in Photoshop CS2. (I worked on this for HOURS so kwityerbitchin!)

Download for the full effect!

I really like this.
The idea was great! And you did a wonderful job.
But, there are many things that can be fixed.

Pros:
The Car is absolutely fantastic!! You did a wonderful job.
Your Anatomy on your character is also very well done, and it seems like you know how movement works.

Cons:
Shading- Don't be afraid to get in to as much detail as possible when you shade! The longer the piece takes, the nicer it will look.
Background- The line art and coloring looks wonderful, but, the Background takes away from that. Try making a scenery! The parking lot at the beach? That would look nice!

I really do like this, it's really cool! But, like I said, it seems like shading and the Background could use some work, which is not a big deal, haha.
A little practice, and you will be shading like a pro!
I hope I was able to help!<33
